Stolen to some degree by megastar drummer Sheila E. Cast includes Prince, Sheila E., Sheena Easton, Dr. Fink, Mike Weaver, Levi Seacer Jr., Wally Safford, Gregory Allen Brooks, and Boni Boyer. Faces: Highly personal drama in regards to numerous infidelities is one of the few Cassel films to become a big hit. Here’s a commanding film with awesome action, particularly by Carlin and Cassel. Cast includes John Marley, Gena Rowlands, Lynn Carlin, Seymour Cassel, Fred Draper, and Val Avery. (130 minutes,’68)

Shades of Fear: Flat, disheartening drama in reference to a youthful female Ayola who yearns to become a guide and the assorted characters that crosses her road as she cruises for England. The British version helped make it better. Cast includes Rakie Ayola, John Hurt, Jonathan Pryce, Vanessa Redgrave, and Dorothy Tutin. (92 minutes,’93)

Good Morning Miss Dove: For a few generations, a small town spinster schoolteacher has felt and helped condition lives of her learners. Now hospitalized, her past is exposed through flashbacks. Movie theaters deal. Cast includes Jennifer Jones, Robert Pile, Kipp Hamilton, Robert Douglas, Ditch Connors, Mary Wickes, and Richard Deacon. (107 minutes,’55)

Amistad: This film is based on the true story of an unsuccessful mutiny aboard a slave ship in’39 bound for the US. The subsequent trial would put the entire foundation of the US legal system on trial. Three great men, abolitionist Theodore Joadson, lawyer Roger Baldwin, and former president John Quincy Adams fight for the freedom, and civil rights, of the African slaves.

Trackdown: Montana rancher (Jim Mitchum) comes to L.A. looking for his sister, who has fallen into a seamy life in the streets. Not much depth however lots of action. Cast includes Jim Mitchum, Karen Larnm, Anne Archer, Erik Estrada, Cathy Lee Crosby, and Vince Cannon. (98 minutes,’76)

The Saint: Master thief Simon Templar is close to retirement. He decides to take one last job, to properly fill his bank account. A Russian billionaire hires him to steal a formula for cold fusion from scientist Emma Russell. Two things change his plans. He falls in love with the beautiful scientist, and learns the potential disaster if this formula was in the wrong hands.
